Steal These 5 Static Ads for Your Next Marketing Campaign

Super Smart and Easy to Swipe!

It’s no secret that video ads are dominating the digital space.

Stats show they drive 80% more engagement than static images.

But here’s the thing: static ads aren’t dead.

In fact, when done right, they can still pull in strong conversions and cost less to produce than videos.

The problem? Most static ads miss the mark. Whether it’s cluttered designs, weak headlines, or zero emotional pull, they often get overlooked.

Today, I’ll show you 5 static ads that stand out, what they’re doing right, and the small tweaks they need to perform even better.

#1 - Double C!? Clean & Cool!

This ad is clean! I love the fact that it is visually appealing, neat, minimal and gets the message across effectively.

Why It Works

  • Clear Benefits Front and Center: The headline highlights "Natural, Anti-Bacterial & Anti-Fungal Ingredients," which speaks directly to the problem the product solves.

  • Social Proof: "190,000+ 5-star reviews" is powerful. It builds immediate trust and credibility. Also using “Recommended by Doctors” as the CTA makes it even more believable.

  • Clean and Simple Design: The white background and minimal elements make the product the focal point

#2 - The Trusted Brand

At first glance, I believed this ad worked because of the brand name.

Sure, brand names play a huge role in marketing since they are well known.

But at a second glance, the ad is successful beyond the name.

Why It Works

  • Clear Offer: “Try Mailchimp’s advanced marketing tools for free” states exactly what’s being offered, no confusion.

  • Clean Design: The bold yellow background catches attention, and the layout is easy to read.

  • Friendly Visuals: The smiling people create a welcoming and approachable feel, making the brand seem user-friendly.

And this was A/B tested with a color and copy change. Both worked! See below!

#3 Numbers Work!

I have reservations about this ad. If not because of the numbers, it might be quite unbelievable that it works!

That’s insane!

Why It Works

  • Targeted Callout: “Summerlin Men Wanted” directly speaks to a specific audience, grabbing their attention.

  • Clear Offer: “Get 7 Days for $7” is simple, appealing, and easy to understand.

  • Strong Visual: The image of a fit man lifting weights connects with the audience and conveys the gym’s vibe.

  • Team Training Emphasis: “Team Training – Life Changing” hints at the community aspect, which appeals to many gym-goers.

For this ad, tidying up the design a bit will make it better.

The mix of fonts and colors is slightly overwhelming.

Simplifying the text hierarchy to guide the reader’s eye better makes it easier to read.

#4 Seasonal Ad

Not exactly the kind of ad you’d expect to see on this list so why did it make the list? It leverages a timely offer to grab attention and drive action

Why It Works

  • Clear Discount Message: "Save up to 85% off" grabs attention and clearly communicates value.

  • Seasonal Relevance: Tying the sale to Black Friday makes it timely and relevant.

  • Eye-Catching Design: The bold purple and black contrast makes the ad stand out in a crowded feed.

  • Specific Focus: Targeting "Digital Marketing" appeals directly to a niche audience.

While this ad works, fixing the design could make it better. The illustrated design, though modern, could confuse some users.

Including an image of an actual course interface or adding humans for feelings would make the context better.

That’s all for today! See you this time next week!
